How Pasara Surf verifies sellers, shops and reviews
Buying used surf gear works because we know who's on the other side. Here's exactly what "Verified" means on Pasara Surf — and how you become Verified yourself.
Seller verification levels
Every private seller starts at Bronze and can climb to Gold by confirming contact details. Higher level = more trust, more visibility, fewer messages ignored.
Gold — Fully Verified
- Email address confirmed via one-time code
- Phone number confirmed via SMS
- At least one completed sale OR positive review
Verified-pill on profile, surfboard, and listings. Boosted ranking in search results.
Silver — Partially Verified
- Email OR phone confirmed
- Account active for at least 7 days
Silver-pill visible to buyers. Buyers can DM with confidence.
Bronze — Unverified
- Account created but no verification yet
Limited visibility. Buyers may ask for verification before meeting.
Shop verification
Registered surf shops on Pasara Surf go through a separate, stricter check. The four pillars below appear as badges on every Verified Shop profile.
Safe Meeting
Pasara Surf recommends meeting at the shop's physical address. Public location, business hours, real staff — much safer than a parking-lot handover.
Verified Shop
Business license and physical address checked by Pasara Surf. This is a real registered surf shop, not a private reseller.
Expert Advice
The shop staff are working surfers themselves. Ask them about board volume, fin setup, or wave fit — they actually know.
Premium Partner
Top-tier Pasara Surf partner shop. Highest verification level + active dispute support if anything goes wrong with a purchase.
Verified Purchase reviews
Reviews on Pasara Surf show a green "Verified Purchase" pill when we can confirm the reviewer actually bought the item from the seller. No drive-by reviews, no review-bombing — only buyers who paid get to write one.
Trust Score
Each seller has a 0–100 Trust Score visible on their profile. It's calculated from:
- Email verification (+15)
- Phone verification (+15)
- Each completed sale (+5, capped at +30)
- Each 5-star verified-purchase review (+3, capped at +25)
- Account age (+1 per month, capped at +15)
Higher Trust Score = stronger ranking + faster buyer responses. The score recalculates daily.
