Echo Beach — Frequently asked
→Is Echo Beach beginner-friendly?
Not really. Echo is a punchy beach break over a partial reef and gets fast steep takeoffs even on smaller days. Beginners should stick to Old Man's just up the road. Echo is best for confident intermediates and above.
→When should I surf Echo Beach?
Dawn patrol on a mid-incoming tide with offshore (E) winds. By 9-10am the on-shore breeze and crowd both arrive. Wet season (Nov-Mar) often gives Echo its cleanest small-wave windows.
→What's the parking situation at Echo Beach?
Multiple paid warung lots near the beach for 5-10k IDR per scooter. Beach parking gets congested on weekends and during sunset. Don't leave anything visible in your scooter.
